For subpolyversadiscoteca I knew I wanted audience and performers to share the same space. I knew I wanted there to be no front, so that chairs faced multiple directions and that every audience member would have a different experience of the work. I knew I wanted audience members to be separated from the people they came to the theater with, so that there was a focus on their own individual experience with each performer. I knew that I wanted the work to be less about my own movement aesthetic, and more about how I could arrange the movement choices of the performers into something coherent but queerly multiplicitous.
